Getting to Türkiye was such a change from being in western Europe. I went through a few towns and I had to get used to some places being closed during the day.

The first hotel that I booked in Istanbul was not so nice so I had to rapidly change to another hotel in Taksim but I am grateful I met a cool friend that showed me the ropes in Istanbul. I was able to visit the Hagia Sophia, which is a historical mosque associated with Constantinople. The public transportation in Istanbul was awesome and I was able to get anywhere around town as well as take the ferries with my istanbulcard.

It was cool to visit around the markets as well as learn about Constantinople and the ottoman empire. I also visited Ankara where I went to the museum of Anatolian civilizations. I finished my tour of Türkiye in Antalya, which was beautiful. The port town had great weather, if it was a few degrees hotter, I would have went swimming 😂
